    I hope-assume-cope this thumbnail is fake somehow so I apologize for joking on this if it’s real. Definitely not the bad guy when you are going full Sagat on someone from behind.

    When I was younger and lacked a developed political consciousness but just had kind of vaguely progressive attitudes I assumed my IRL too-online friends shared this gender equality outlook by default, but a lot of them would consume this kind of “equal rights for equal lefts” (what does that even mean?!) type of misogynist slop and it took me a few years to catch on that they were not people I should be hanging out with long term.

    I had an acquaintance who told me, “if a woman’s hitting me, they get three free punches before I start punching back”. Dude was trying hard to thread the needle between “a man should never hit a woman” and “my mom used to beat the shit out of me” and this is the garbled thing that fell out.

    Not saying every man who’s obsessed about the situations in which he’s “allowed” to hit a woman was beat by their mom. I’ve met plenty who to my knowledge weren’t. Just saying it’s a self-imposed patriarchal rule that results in misdirected resentment regarding the rule

      This reads exactly like the type of gun nut obsessed with “home defense”. They spend all day arguing and grandstanding about the specific line where it becomes “okay” to kill someone. Then they kill a harmless old man with dementia who stumbled into their yard at 3 AM and it was a very regrettable accident. Personally, I think having a history of obsessing over this stuff should be sufficient to argue intent in court.

      It’s always made up situations too. How common is it for a woman to randomly assault a man? And in the off-chance that it happens, why not use your “testosterone buff” to just pin them down and non-violently de-escalate?

      Even if somebody is attacking you, you pretty much have an obligation to escape over continuing to escalate. Shoving a person and running away looks a lot better on the cameras in court than you throwing punches into a guy until he falls down before a final kick to the ribs, even if he started it with a sucker punch to the back of your head. God forbid a fall goes tragic and one punch leads to a coma or death. Shit ain’t worth it and the law is very keen on making that point. If somebody is fighting you and you have a clear path of escape and don’t take it? That is not a good look even if the internet thinks you’re tough.

    Yeah I watched it (on a mirror so they don’t get a view) and it’s exactly as bad as you could imagine. Every scenario is painted in the most fucked light you can imagine.

    A woman falls down? It’s a moral failing on her part somehow. A woman is sparring with a guy and takes a punch wrong? Humbled lmao.

    When we get state power we need to keep these videos up as a honeypot and gulag anyone who clicks on them.

    You have said the actual truth, this fight is absolutely not equal in any way. This is just like when white farmers in South Africa have to defend themselves from the black majority, who are much more numerous and are determined to eliminate the whites by any means necessary.
