This might just be me, but I don’t like hearing these people put on a fake stutter. I know it’s an Alex Jones-ism, but as someone that has a really bad stutter and has struggled with it all my life, it doesn’t feel great

No you are right, I adore Tim and his work had a huge effect on me as an adult and my love of ironic humor, but yeah attacking him for a stutter instead of all the myriad of other fucked up things is low and weak.

I’ve got kinda mixed feelings on this one. They’re doing an impression, it seems to me like imitating any relevant speech impediments is gonna need to be part of that imitation. I don’t see it as criticizing him for having a stutter, but just having fun with the vocal fingerprint it contributes to. Even if Alex Jones wasn’t a complete piece of shit, I think they’d be having fun with the stutter all the same, because that’s just part of how he talks and the joke is using “his” voice to say silly things.

It reminds me a bit of how people always imitate Obama saying “uh” a lot. Plenty of them love Obama, it just happens to be a marker that makes his speech stand out.

Yeah I would agree it would suck ass if he added a stutter to Jones voice where there wasn’t one, but he’s just doing the bit well.

Nobody on earth who realizes Alex Jones as a goofy moronic asshole thinks its because of the cadence of his speech.
