The same party that wouldn’t convict Trump of a crime after he told a crowd, ‘Go to the Capitol,’

It’s stupid to say that no group is worse than liberals, when he argues that they are the worst for not prosecuting Trump for trying to overturn American democracy.
If they were supposed to prosecute Trump, he must obviously consider those that tried that worse.

Seems like he is presenting an oxymoron.

‘Letter from a Birmingham jail’ as true today as it was then. What’s the saying about not learning from history, and repeating it?

And it boils down to privilege. I mean, when you talk to white moneyed liberals, they’re getting a lot from this broken system.

Ah ok so rich white people? A tale as old as time.

It is incredible to watch people this far down the road still say you gotta stand behind the Democrat Party.

    Emphasis mine.

OH…KAY…and so this guy that apparently left the DemocratIC Party is butthurt because he had a conversation about wildfires with one Democrat that he didn’t like. And apparently has adopted the terminology of the conservatives and the reactionary centrists.

And, oh, wow, you guys! He’s apparently woken up to the fact that we have two parties - one that is extremely right wing - to the point of being Nazi-adjacent now and another that is moderately right wing. Something most of us noticed by the time we left high school, or at least by the time we left university.

Cool cool. And what is he proposing to do as an alternative if we don’t vote for the “Democrat [sic] Party”? Staying home or voting for something like the Green Party are just not options for serious people.

I won’t find y’all the MLK quote for it, y’all know it. But it is legitimately more frustrating to hear a white liberal tell me we’d be eating caviar at brunch if only Kamala had been elected than hearing a Trumper tell me he’s doing nothing wrong.

Part of it is I don’t need to build a coalition with MAGA, but this blue no matter who person is actively halting progress in the “lesser evil” party.

Maybe McKay meant that, maybe not. Dudes a rich white liberal anyways so I hope he’s self aware when he says this.

Exactly. Conservatives are a mostly lost cause who will either figure it out on their own after being beaten by the people they elect themselves or who are so blind they will never see it. Centrists who “aren’t very political” and who “just want everyone to get along” are constantly telling progressives that they’re “too extreme” despite the fact that the entire basis of centrism is being in between two other options, no matter where that actually puts them.

They’re just a bunch of cowards who are heading for a cliff but think that applying the brakes too strongly might be a little uncomfortable so they just do it a little. They’re still going off the cliff, just a little slower.

Yeah and its all the more annoying when they acknowledge the cliff as if we’re supposed to clap for them.

E.g. “climate change is the #1 existential threat” “OK will your campaign commit to revoking fracking and mining licenses on federal land?” “WOAH don’t be CRAZY”

I’ll refine that general statement to “mostly the elite white liberals”. Most others are just hard working stiffs like everyone else. Always remember the percentage rule when applying blame to a generation. It’s the 10% at the top. No matter what generation you are referring to, it’s always the 10% at the top.
