Something similar happened to me when I was scheduling my dentist appointment from my mother’s phone (I ran out of credit in January). I have said like 3 times that I am X and they kept on talking to me in third person. I am not sure if they were deaf, dense, or over worked but I will take it despite looking like somebody who needs their mom for a dentist appointment at 21

I got my gender marker changed. But not my name change yet. So I’m in this weird limbo where this basically constantly happens as described by the meme haha.
Sometimes I encounter a nice person and they change my preferred name in the system. And sometimes I don’t and it’s annoying… Or they’ll even make me announce my legal name etc.
I want to pursue my name change… But I’m also worried they’ll refuse and correct my documents forcibly due to the current political state that I won’t go into.
Plus I’m trying to buy a house and if I change my name I can lose my credit score apparently? I’m trying to wait until after I bought the house and then afterwards I might be able to do my name change by then. But we’ll see what happens.
