2·1 年前I’ve been doing this with games and movies for years. It’s so much fun to go into something blind with zero expectations, makes the whole experience a lot more exciting.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What weird false belief did you have as a kid?English
16·1 年前I was like 6 years old when my dad randomly told me that if a player dies during a football game, the others players have to eat him before the game can continue.
I never watched sports so I didn’t even question it lol
Yeah, that’s the one!
Hah I had that exact same experience with Godot

PC Gaming@lemmy.world•Xbox claims mass layoffs were the outcome of a ‘concerning’ lack of industry growthEnglish
11·2 年前No growth is bad for the investors/stakeholders who make money from that growth, so the issue is probably more pronounced in public companies, but definitely not limited to them.

Games@sh.itjust.works•[NakeyJakey] Returning to Red Dead Redemption 2English
31·2 年前Agreed. The writing and acting of RDR2 are amazing, but as a whole, the story of the game kind of felt empty in the end. I think I might revisit the game later to see if I’ll enjoy it more, but I just don’t see Arthur as that great of a character from a narrative viewpoint. After the first couple times Dutch’s “plans” failed I started to really question why Arthur, or any of the other gang members really, would continue trusting him so blindly. I think that may have broken my immersion even more than the restrictive mission design where I also murdered like a thousand people.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Way Too Many Games [14000] Were Released On Steam In 2023
5·2 年前Yeah, and there’s a a lot of games on Steam that would never get approved by a publisher, especially the smallest of indie games. Besides, if you have the means to get a finished game on Steam without a publisher, you get to keep all revenue to yourself instead of losing ~50% to a publisher.
I almost 2 hours into it, and it’s really good so far. Quite similar to Firewatch in all the good ways.
Edit: just finished it after a couple more hours, really liked it.

That’s funny because I moved to the Netherlands yesterday, from Finland lol.

2·2 年前I don’t even need the icons honestly, I’ve had this layout for years so opening the apps has become muscle memory for me

Why don’t you consider yourself artistic? Why do you want to make your own art? By using AI you surrender ownership of your work to opaque algorithms and lose so much of what makes you special as someone unique and individual.
