This makes me think of Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. Spiritual without being preachy. Just a man searching for meaning. I remember thinking it was an easy read.

I’m not disagreeing with your suggestion, but in that situation what would actually happen over the short term is prices would stay the same for much longer. Which is healthy for an economy.
Over a longer term people will make more money and $10 eggs won’t feel as expensive.
It’s not as exciting of a proposition, which is why most people don’t bother explaining it.
What the average American doesn’t understand is that
The government only has control over inflation when it comes to prices
Controlling inflation only controls the RATE of rising prices
Once prices are up, they don’t go down because prices always go up over time in a healthy economy.
Wakfu. MMO in a kinda cutesy animation style. Combat is turn based, very final fantasy tactics (which I enjoy), and actually quite complex. You can spend ages min maxing your build.
There’s an actual lore and storyline (and crazy enough an entire TV show). Harvesting and crafting professions that are fun and useful. A kind of player housing. Mounts. All shop items are cosmetic or resets only.
It’s a great game that’s been around for a long time and isn’t going anywhere.
Jump on the Ogrest server, which is the most active international server today.
This should be wayyy further up top. Too bad commenting for visibility doesn’t work here.
Are y’all us?

Peacemaker’s a good one!! Gotta check out What We Do.
I knew someone would link this to 3 Body. The book’s take on aliens vs humans is pretty realistic IMO.
This is the advice you need OP. It’s going to feel like shit to take rejection after rejection. But the reality is that success is the 2000th attempt after 1999 rejections, but only if you’re actively trying something new each time. You can do it.
This is a really awesome answer. Thanks for taking the time writing it all out.
I think changing out my detergent for something really scent free is a good first step.
Well that sucks I really do like the smell. But maybe I’m just crazy.

Reeder on iOS and Mac is excellent. Not open source, but lovingly crafted by an indie dev.
I look forward to these with every refresh of my Lemmy feed. I don’t want an endless loop of “news”. I just like hearing from normal people enjoying games.
🤷 I wouldn’t fret the downvotes too much. Unlike Reddit it means practically nothing here. It bothers you a whole lot more than it bothers me.
IMO, the least interesting conversations are ones where everyone agrees. When opinions differ, the real tragedy is when we stop listening to the other side.
For what it’s worth, I’m more than happy to keep listening.
Absolutely. NPCs are just wallpaper to me. They might as well not exist. It’s way more interesting to me to see real people.
You’re thinking too rationally. It is nigh impossible to be rational in a situation where you are hungry, tired, and could die at any moment from a drone strike.
What does “be smarter” even mean? Move out of Gaza?
This is frankly not a huge issue, but in the iOS app, sometimes pulling down to refresh doesn’t remove read posts. I also have the setting that shows the button to remove seen posts. Tapping on it doesn’t seem to do anything. When this happens, I just close the app entirely and try again.
This is literally the only problem I have with Voyager. The app is otherwise perfect. Thanks for the incredible work!
