  • Searching through XDA gave me nothing - it seems the Redmi A3 is a pretty obscure phone in the Redmi line, which was honestly quite surprising. The Mi A3 overtaking it in the results wasn’t helping either.

In any case I couldn’t find any ROMs. mvikrant97 says in this post that you can’t even really unlock the A3 to begin with (at least as of July 2024 but I doubt anything as changed).

You could try using UAD to debloat a little bit, but I haven’t used it personally, so I’ll have to leave the research to you.

Ayep. I have an unlocked Mi 10T Pro and I honestly would be scared of attempting to unlock another Xiaomi phone right now. It was already difficult enough those couple of months ago, I can’t imagine how bad it is now.
Fiddling with Mi Unlock itself took hours out of my day. Installing random older versions, not being able to select something because some UI element couldn’t get out of the way, and so on.

  • aye, i feel ya. losing even a part of your senses is extremely depressing.

lost a part of mine when i blew myself up with a pistol flare by accident back in February. my hearing’s never been quite right since, and to top it all off i’ve still got scars from the incident on my left hand.

i’ve made a much better recovery than i thought i would, but my right ear still has some slight tinnitus which will likely stay with me til the grave.

i really hope you recover just as well if not more! at least eye damage is infinitely more reversible than ear damage!
