1·14 days agoNo, I was on vacation there anyway and thought why not visit them.
Nah I just happen to live near the Concord location and visited all the Florida locations when I went on vacation there. The list is just public knowledge.
As I mentioned, the top floor isn’t easily accessible and yeah there weren’t too many people shopping there when I visited. That said, I don’t feel comfortable taking pictures of strangers in any case.
They do still operate sears.com if you don’t have a physical store nearby anymore. Keep in mind most listings these days are third party but there is a “sold by Sears” filter.
The prices are very good actually. Everything’s always on some kind of sale.
Believe it or not, but the US still has Kmart as well. :p

I did visit the Kmart in Miami last month! :p There are still three Kmart stores and five Sears stores open in the US.
Sears:

Kmart:
- Kendale Lakes, FL (Miami)
- Saint Thomas, USVI
- Tamuning, Guam
The manager of the Concord store did tell me their sales figures are on the rise again. :p When they became the last location in California last year, that’s when all the “nostalgia tourists” started coming in haha.
I’ve deleted the other two posts now. I’ve had the same issue before, not sure why. The first time I’ve clicked the submit button, it didn’t do anything and the second time it said “error”.
If by Fremont you mean NewPark Mall, that’s been a dead mall for quite a while. The Sears over there has been closed since 2018. The last closures in California were Burbank and Whittier in 2025 and Stockton in 2024. Among the Sears stores that are currently still operating, Concord is first in softlines and second in hardlines so actually they’re doing quite okay. At least compared to the others.
