I don’t hunt. Don’t care for it, had no possibility to either.

But, we as a species have had thousands of years where the man went out to hunt for food for his family. This instinct is still there, even though it is no longer necessary. But I’d imagine that is the reason that hunters hunt. It’s an activity we have been wired to do.

Some of us found other ways to “hunt”, like gaming, or chasing work goals, basically anything that will require you to focus for a while on one single thing with a clearly defined goal to get to. But I can imagine if you are raised in family where hunting is still done, it would be easy to pick it up for yourself.

We once heard of a service that would help us find a rental house. So we went there, had to pay for an appointment. Turns out they do nothing you cannot do yourself, and you pay a lot. They literally just put you in the system, which you can do yourself, and when you get a house through that system, which is free and from the government, they make you pay through the nose for that house.

Of course, since I am native in this country I have no need for a service like that. Turns out they mostly do this to people who don’t speak the language. I guess they offer a service, but their fees are excessive for what they do. They abuse the fact those people don’t know any better.

There’s lots of people making a profit from somebody else’s house finding misery and I hate it.

What you need to understand is, it doesn’t matter how hard you work,how much you learn or what you do. If you don’t blend in with your coworkers at least a little bit, you’ll always be the odd one. Depending on who your manager is, that’s enough to get tired.

For a lot of people, for a long time, the surviving mechanism has been social interaction. There are incredibly stupid people out there, doing less work and getting paid more because they know how to fit in the group and form relationships of all sorts. That is a fact. It’s from the hundreds of years we lived as gatherers-hunters where we all had to work together to get food on the table and not die.

You need to realize that you are different. I’ve been like you, struggling to blend in. I still find it hard to show interest in people, because I don’t really care that much, as long as they do their work.

But I’ve learned to at least show some interest. One of the things I am struggling with is that for most people, being together and social seems to give them energy, while it drains my energy.

So I just ask my colleagues how their weekend was and try to relax a little. Which I think you should too.

It’s good that you want to learn and improve, but if you think that leaves no room to talk and be social, you’re too black and white. It feels like you use the job to not focus on colleagues at all, and I have through painful experience learned that most people don’t like that. They want to feel seen, valued.

I’m not saying hang on their every word, I’m saying, the balance right now is ripped too much towards work work work.

There is so much to learn about communicating with people. If you don’t ever speak to them, it’s very hard to predict how they respond to things. How does a colleague react if you ask a favor? How does a colleague react if he/she discovers a mistake you made? If they think you’re a great guy or at least nice but maybe a bit quit, they could talk it over with you. If they think you’re an asshole, they walk straight to the manager.

I think you’re pretty good at your job. Most people like you are. But to succeed you must find a way to be more social, take critism and be aware of the way you communicate and behave towards others and how others will see you because of that.

I have a colleague who also has the habit of telling me what to do in a commanding voice. He doesn’t do it on purpose, in his world that is how it should be, and there is no other way. However, that is generally not acceptable behavior. I would not even accept that from my manager. But the guy often has a point, works hard and has lots of experience and brings solutions that are useful.

However, if he tells it like a dick, nobody cares. Nobody listens. Would you yourself listen to some arrogant prick who thinks he knows best? I won’t. But Steve from accounting, who congratulated me with my birthday yesterday, I like that guy. And when he asks me: "what do you think about doing this or that to solve problems x?’ I’ll give it some thought.

You need to accept that you are different. I am different. But I am an outlier, not the norm. So I found coping mechanisms to navigate the social world at work and with friends. Find yours if you can. It’s not easy, but try it.

Yes, most rape is from a man done to a woman. That does not mean that every man will rape woman. It’s just not true, and you immediately lose any chance of having a normal conversation with a man if you start by accusing them of a crime. That there is no proof of, and did not happen in most cases.

Try opening up a conversation with any stranger on the street by accusing them of being a murderer. How long will that laat and how much are you going to achieve by that? It’s just stupid.

If you want to change the world you have to talk to other people, build bridges and understand each other. Not wildy accuse each other of criminal behaviour just based on gender.

The whole Gaza situation is a wasp’s nest that nobody should poke without knowing damn sure what they are doing. There are multiple big players playing chess with other people’s life there, and you could lose a lot.

But given the complexity the chance that the situation is resolved and thus something is won is very small.

Yes, it’s terrible what is happening. But unless you have a lot of resources and a big army you are not in a position to muscle all the parties involved into submission, which is what will be required at this point.

The ratings would not be through the roof. Although they might be richt people, they are still people. Naturally people are social creatures who don’t like to see other humans suffer greatly.

Yes, people are cruel, but seeing people dieing and suffering is not something most people will willingly seek out unless they are already depressed or traumatized.

I certainly won’t be watching. Now just taking their money, leaving them enough to still live a life and then improving the world, I would be watching that.

But I really do not understand why people hate rich people so much. Yes, Bozos is an asshole for exploiting employees and treating them really bad, but that is about his actions and everything that flows from that. His money alone would not make me hate him.

My parents had a caravan when I was like 4 years old. Ran into it full speed, hit my head hard. I had an anger attack because blood was coming out of my head, my parents got a heart attack because of all the blood.

Another one would be when I found out I needed glasses. At school, at the gym class, we were playing around as a warming up.

I ran after a ball, and hit one of those horizontal bars you can do tricks on. Full speed, nose first. That hurt for a couple of days. Spent the rest of the class holding my nose closed because I was bleeding a lot.

If your followers just leave you if you don’t post, your content is probably shallow and doesn’t really add much value to the world.

The algorithm is also fucked, but you use it to your advantage when you can, so can you really complain about the downside? This is what you choose to work with.

That being said, making good content is hard and really time consuming. So I get that there is stress.

But I believe if you make good solid content that suits you and your style, you don’t need to get into a pissing contest with the algorithm. Upload when you want, make what you want and you will attract viewers. They are out there, and they will find you through searching.

Or maybe they have been playing us for fools and the real ninja’s are actually much different but we will never know because we are tricked by the fake ones.

In my country we also have capatalism but we still have workers rights and all of that. It is just in America that employers managed to get everything their way. Other countries have free markets without abusing their workers.
