I’m glad to see others still have the fight in them. I’m in my 40’s, burnt out, no wife or kids to fight for, and my parents are in their late 70’s. I spent a lot of my life fighting to make things better and it’s only gotten worse faster, I’m tired, I’m burnt out, and I just don’t care anymore, I just want to pass the torch to someone who still cares and then live a quiet life.

At this point, they can have it. They just have to figure out how to upload my consciousness to a computer, load that computer into a von Neumann probe, and fire me off into space. Yes I like the Bobivers series. I’d kick back a few rocks to mine on my way out to pay my way, then take off and start exploring.

In the realm of possibility just give me $10 million so I can invest it and live off the dividends. I’ll build a nice three bedroom house and keep to myself and just work on things that actually interest me instead of working to survive. They can have their hellscape utopia, I just want to be left alone.

This is the way. The main reason I don’t do something like that is results are open to everyone in management and since I know I can work with my manager I prefer to handle issues one on one.

If my manager refused to work with me, or the issue was a company wide thing, then I would give an actionable response.

I write proposals for improvements and they’ve been so well received because I present each one with an issue statement, explanation, and actionable steps to resolve the issue. Now I’m helping coworkers with ideas on how to improve and that’s something I try to reinforce, explain the issue and how it affects the company and employees, then give a way to correct the issue. If you just say here’s a problem, now fix it, you’ll get no where.

I love these, keeps the toxic people out of management in my company. We have a yearly employee survey and the toxic people always complain about everything and everyone. They think it’s anonymous even though you have to click a link that’s emailed to you then login to the survey with your employee ID and password. Yeah dipshit it’s anonymous even though you just gave them your ID to be able to take the survey.

Me, 5 stars across the board and no additional comments. Any issues I have I take up with my manager directly and he can handle it from there with the right people.

  • For home and auto, yes this is a great way to clean windows. I use Zep’s simply because I have experience with it, and I only buy one can every two years, it’s a small expense but worth it to me.

I had to use Zep’s when cleaning aircraft windows since 1) that was what was provided to me, 2) commercial and corporate jet windows have to be perfectly clear during a flight since there’s no pulling over to squeegee the cockpit window if the cleaning crew messed up.

  • Second on the Zep’s bottles. In my early 20’s I cleaned aircraft for a living and used all Zep’s products, those bottles worked no matter what angle you held them at.

Also if you’re cleaning windows use Zep’s window cleaner, spray on, wait 3 minutes and wipe off. You’ve windows will be clean and streak free with minimal effort.

During lockdown we were getting slammed and I was working 10 - 11 hour shifts and was finishing all my podcasts and had run out of audiobooks. So just needing something to listen to while I worked I gave his show a shot. Listened to two episodes and then signed up for Tidal and just started listening to music instead.

Around 2005 my dad was working for a small air cargo company, the owner did him a favor and gave me a part time job in the evening while I was going to the local community college. Dad did double duty as accounting and HR and when I hired in I had to meet with him to go over the company’s employee handbook.

We went over bit by bit until I asked who would do that? to one of the items. He looked me straight in the eyes and said each of these rules come from actual incidents. He then calmly grabbed a tab and flipped to a section and said and we call this chapter Dennis.

Fun fact 20 years later and Dennis is the chief pilot of the company and one of only two people there I would blindly get in a plane with.

Yep, separate machines is the way.

My employer provides all of us with laptops for remote work, and management with cell phones. Some of these people (managers included) use the laptop as their sole computer for everything, and most of management takes advantage of the fact that if you port your phone number to the company phone you can switch between profiles and have the company pay the phone bill.

I look at these people and just marvel at their stupidity. My work laptop is on a segregated network and shut down when not in use. And if it goes like it looks like it’s going, when I get a manager cell phone, I’ll be keeping my personal phone separate. Keep’em separate always.
