I actually got enough experience fighting with python and Linux that I got a DevOps engineer job with no engineering degree about 2 years ago. Worked for a startup and now I work as a more traditional SWE doing full stack Python dev.

It all started because I was determined to jack it using this new tech and I ended up profiting off the skills and doubled my income. I did have to obfuscate the experience I had obviously, but special thanks to all the devs here who put me through code boot(y)camp and improved my quality of life overall.
