“We asked why they wouldn’t run the wrap when we clearly met the guidelines if they were allowing the internal ad,” said Virginia Kase Solomón, the president and chief executive of Common Cause. “They said they were not at liberty to give us a reason.”
They can’t run the ad, but you can get a “nobody elected Elon” sticker to put somewhere people see
They’re right, Elmo shouldn’t be fired.
They should confiscate all his assets and deport him!
For fucks sake, let’s do some quick math here. Elmo is the richest prick on the planet, worth over $400 billion. There are around 8 billion people on the planet.
400/8 = 50
So you, yes that bag of flesh reading my comment, you’re only worth $50 to the richest fuckwad on the planet.

Hey, your math is a bit off. He’s a racist apartheid apologist, so there’s definitely a race coefficient in there somewhere.
Sad LOL…
I did say quick math, but I’m sure the numbers don’t divide evenly…
Nah, SpaceX should launch a cybertruck into space with a special passenger.
Because Mr. Bezos says no.
Do… did people already forget he personally killed WaPo’s originally planned pre-election endorsement?
… And then was a guest of honor at Trump’s very exclusive inauguration?
This is exactly what it looks like.
Oligarchs owning our media was the beginning of the end. Facts no longer matter
NYT wasn’t brave enough to even give a link to the ad in their article.
There are really two viable explanations for this:
- Interference from Bezos
- The Washington Post has realised that allowing this advert to run exposes them to legal risk from an erratic administration that is extremely sensitive to its public perception.
In either case their integrity is gone so who cares which is correct
My friend, they are a multi-million-dollar corporation. There is no such thing as integrity, only profit. It just so happens that for the greater part of their existence, having the appearance of integrity has been the best way to achieve the real goal.
who even reads Washington post anyway? like reading Jeff Bezos’s opinion all day lmao laaaaaaame
Suddenly fascists are Jeff Bezos’s best buddies. He’s a self-serving coward.
