I was debating whether or not I should even post this because it looks so sad, but decided that if I get good feedback then it’s worth the embarrassment. Any ideas what the heck is wrong with this? I just moved it to the ground, where I have really good soil, so I’m hoping it recovers on its own

Walk back this plant’s history in your head and you’ll find your answers. When did it start looking sad? What were the variables like? How did the condition progress? Now that you’re seeing improvements follow the same line of investigation- What happened that allowed improvement? What variables changed from where it was to where it is now? You say you moved it to a spot with good soil, was it in poor quality soil before? Not enough nutrients, poor drainage, etc etc? There are almost always clues leading up to disaster. Listen to what she’s telling you before she has to shout! 💚
I was growing it in this little anteroom off of my basement and it was cold as fuck in there. So I think that it was too cold and that caused nutrient issues. I’m hoping that now since it’s warm and it’s in my good soil outside- that bed has been heavily amended- it’ll just be fine now but we’ll see 😂

Is it a brand name seed or just some random?
It was cold yeah but I have a 400 watt light in there that I used to grow under, it certainly wasn’t dark. It’s from a local breeder, Nuclear Forest by Dirty Bird Genetics. I also have 3 Black Widows by ILGM that looks better but still not great.

If it’s improving, I wouldn’t worry then. Those lower leaves might be a lost cause. If the top green part keeps getting better, but the lower stuff worse, I’d just snip the bad looking leaves.
It definitely looks stressed. Be patient with it though, the plant may just need time to catch up to the outside. Is the sunlight too strong?

How often do you water it?
I’d put my money on either overwatering or PH issues. I doubt it’s lack of nutrients in the soil - the plant just can’t access them.
Honestly I’m not really into growing. Mainly where I’m at now I don’t have enough space and would get quite some disapproving looks from neighbors although it is legal to grow in my state.

That sucks, I hope someday you have a huge weed farm where you grow only the stickiest of ick.
Looks like a nutrient deficiency, but I can’t tell which one. The new growth looks vibrant and healthy though, you might have just transplanted it a bit late. How did the roots look?
I think it’s phosphorus I’m going to top dress some bone meal
