I mean you’re gonna have to prove in court how you’ve been “harmed” and if you don’t have a sales receipt from microsoft, then I don’t see how a court is gonna side with you.

Pretty sure some lawyer that works for Microsoft is gonna try to counterclaim and say you committed copyright infringement by bypassing the normal activation method.

And can you even afford lawyers lol? Most of us cannot afford constantly paying for laywers that cost $200/hour on the cheaper end, and suing a massive corporation is an uphill battle.

Most people have windows because of OEM keys, so you don’t really have a direct bussiness relationship with Windows so its kinda harder to sue.

If you build a pc then separately bought a key, then you might have a better case.

No they’re not really technically “selling” it. Its bundled with Windows.

Its the home edition thing where they require a microsoft account. Afaik, for the Pro version of Windows, Bitlocker doesn’t require a microsoft account.

Funny enough, people have lost access to their bitlocker encrypted drive because of some weird issues that triggered the windows intallation to revert to asking for the full bitlocker encryption key (I think if you disable secure boot or mess with CPU upgrades or the TPM, or some weird update broke, that can happen), which they didn’t have and forgot the microsoft account. But microsoft can’t help because they forgot about their acount credentials.

They should’ve asked the FBI for help lolz

Nope, this isn’t even a “backdoor”. The key itself was automatically uploaded to your microsoft account, so they can just take the key from the microsoft servers and walk right in. This isn’t some secret, a quick online search will reveal this as public information. They literally tell you the key will get uploaded.

Anyways:

My parents are in an arranged marriage from China. They have been married since like the mid 1990s and never been divorced.

There have never been any issues of alcoholish, drugs, or gambling.

My brother and I are 100% blood related.

But parents had arguments and mom threatened to divorce a few times, but it never happened. And they never separated either. They both work. But in China, dad had a bit of trouble with finding a stable job.

I hear a lot of arguments at home… kinda scary ngl.

But y’all can probabably guess what China was like back then… lots of uncertainty around food. So that’s could be a source of stress and hardship if that’s what you’re wondering, but nothing too serious like mind-altering substances or anything like that.

We’re in the US right now where it has been, relatively speaking, more stable than life in China. Still living in the same house… I looked online and apparantly that it’s common in Asian families (I mean in this current economy, its probably common in the west too).

From what I read online, apprarantly childbirth is painful from the accounts of a lot of women… so… I think my mom feels like “I owe her” for the pain… idk lol
