2·3 days agoYou are in luck! Pretty much all of the top options in https://purchasewithpurpose.eu/category/email/ have strong alias support. But Fastmail comes to mind with how it is integrated.

Right it isn’t… the website is wrong then. I’ll look to fix that.

3·3 days agoThanks, will look to see how best to add these. Might not be all though as I don’t want to overwhelm people with too many options.

1·3 days agoThe only reason would be if you preferred FairMail’s interface, for example. You usually only use a different email client if the provider you have doesn’t offer its own option or is limited in features.

1·3 days agohttps://purchasewithpurpose.eu/category/email/ has some email clients listed, and you can see what is Open-Source and Free.
I think Thunderbird is the only option that is on iOS. Would be very interested if there are others that I missed.

Will look to include them! Looks like an excellent choice for a straightforward email provider. Thanks for the suggestion.

People in the community are already raising concerns that they are too focused on pushing new tools out rather than improving the ones they already have. Mailbox.org, Tuta and Posteo would be better choices if you are looking for an email-first provider.

3·3 days agoThe website might be more helpful to you, but it still doesn’t go into that level of granularity. This is meant more for those who aren’t too technical and want help getting started on this journey.

4·3 days agoI tried to be clever with the space on the Venn diagram, but it might not be too clear. All those listed in the middle are included in the Eco-System section and the Free Tier.
The website has this listed better, so let me know if you spot any mistakes there: https://purchasewithpurpose.eu/category/email/

2·23 days agoIf you’re looking to improve the guide I’d suggest not putting the week number in the same column as the list of app targets. Like either push them all the way to the left margin or rightward toward the arrow column
Yeah agreed, might even remove the week title as well. Thanks for the suggestion.

2·23 days agoThanks @xpey@piefed.social ! It’s comments like these that make it all worth it. So hard to know how many people are actually following these guides and benefiting from them. Having done the switch myself through this process, I feel so much better using tools from genuine businesses.

2·24 days agoI get your point. I’ll look at adding the disclaimer to the category list as well to help educate without needing to click into the tool.

Thanks for the feedback! I had to limit the options presented to avoid making the guide overwhelming. Most of those options are listed on the website - https://purchasewithpurpose.io/
Out of interest, you circled a few options. Any reason? Or are those the tools you use?
