Idk about this, dog. Elastic always seems to be the first thing to wear out on my clothes so I’m not excited to try it on a belt. My leather belts seem to be immortal, are you using good leather belts or cheap ones?

You probably want something a little more baggy, jeans can be snug around the thighs and that wears out the material fast. If you have the crotch fail then that is your problem.
There is also the material used, elastane and tencel/rayon have low tensile strength and wear out fast while polyester and especially nylon are very strong. Recycled materials are also weaker than they otherwise would be because the recycling process cuts them up. In general 100% cotton is good and I would give blends a close look. Wool and linen and ramie are all pretty uncommon in jeans and jeans adjacent things but despite their many other positive qualities they aren’t super strong; wool has a low tensile strength and linen and ramie tend to fail when bent a lot.
Also consider the weight and the weave, thinner material is going to wear through faster while thicker stuff is going to be tougher. Also a reverse sateen weave should last a little longer, it is like the twill leave in denim but oriented sideways so everything is smooth while going forward (and not smooth up/down but what can you do) so it catches and snags and stuff less.
So you will probably have a better time with some baggy or at least roomy reverse sateen cotton-poly or 100% cotton military fatigues. Or other pants with those qualities, just fatigues are common to see like that
Good luck
Love the texture on the tie and I’m impressed by how well it matches the pants

Absolute nothing burger

I’m getting my poll watcher certificate!

These pants are fire! What sort are they?

An all trans movie seems like a bit of a meme to me but also Lilly and her sister have never made something I didn’t love so I say fund it!

Real talk, if you don’t think that ranked choice voting would help the matter what do you think might? I suspect the answer is no, but do you think there is any voting system that would escape this plight? Is democracy not a viable option and if so what would be a better system?

Great stuff! I agree that the no kings rallies are not doing enough. I don’t quite see how any of this is contradictory to coopting the less bad political party though.

So much forward momentum! Just a few more decades I’m sure!
Jokes aside I’d love to see a left wing revolution in my country but it just doesn’t seem like it is going to happen any time soon.
Frankly, I think the best way to make it happen is through electoral politics. Getting people to vote also gets them organized and influences them in favor of revolution. Also having governmental power can produce materially better conditions; less repressive police state, more favorable judges, making the economy better so people can organize instead of work a second job, etc.
The point is that just “organizing for revolution” is just being smug and not doing anything. I’m standing by what I said.

Lovely! I would adore it if we could get ranked choice voting in. Unfortunately, right now we don’t have it. Getting it would require electoral power. Which brings us back to my first comment. It is an unfortunate situation

And what is your solution for one bad party and one worse party in a first past the post system? Just leave the bad party as it is? A third party splitting the vote and handing a win to the worse party? Being smug and not doing anything? Being smug and saying “the revolution will fix everything” and also doing nothing? It seems like you are being smug and trying to convince other people to do nothing too.

As others have said, copious amounts of super glue or epoxy. Pro tip for the super glue is to sprinkle baking soda on it to speed up the cure time.

I watched Tom Stanton’s vid and it was pretty cool. He almost made it look easy. Crazy that he built a gravity powered device that basically shoots like a gun
You are dead wrong. Upvoted for a truly controversial opinion though

Bro didn’t even know civ7 existed and in the same breath confidently called it bad. This is how stupid someone has to be to hate on Luigi.
I knew that civ7 existed because on December 4th 2024 around 6:45am Luigi was at my house and was showing me how excited he was about some of the features he was adding to it. Really great guy.
“I’ve been down voted, therefore democracy is the same thing as slavery” can’t possibly be what you mean but it is genuinely the only take away I’ve got from this comment.
Pretty interesting read. Surrogate is a cardiac nurse and the child had a heart defect. She thinks the child can live a full life and moves to texas. Not enough details in the article to pass judgement and I don’t have enough of a medical degree anyway so I can’t say who is right and who is wrong here.
