    Probably because they need more yields as these are more complex to make

      Yeah I’ve seen several articles recently indicating that chip yields on M3s are around 55%. Apparently Apple has negotiated with TSMC for pro-rated pricing - that is, they only pay for the stuff that’s working, due to the consistently low yields. That’s a bit unusual, to say the least.
