Curious to know the thinking/decision process behind showing the text “from 50 servers” 🤔

It does give the impression that many people are connecting from multiple servers, further educating folks about the Social Web. But do people need to be aware of them?

    @cheeaun@mastodon.social Don’t think too much. All other list items on that screen have 2 lines of text. They just want to make it consistent.

      @zhenyi@mastodon.social is this one of those cases when designers want it to be 2-liner, don’t know what else to put, so randomly put “from 50 servers”? 😆

          @zhenyi@mastodon.social then I’ll just pity the engineer who look at this in the mocks, then think “oh now I’ll need to loop all accounts, grab their domains, dedupe and display the number”, not even knowing why need to show them in the first place 😬

              I always question the designers tho’ (in prev companies), not to annoy them, but more like challenging their train of thoughts. Sometimes might end up with something better 🤞
