The FNV map is a reasonably accurate, downscaled version of the actual topography and cities and notable landmarks of the Las Vegas area. https://www.amusingplanet.com/2011/05/real-life-locations-in-fallout-new.html?m=1 Helios One is based off of the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System Dinky the Dinosaur and Novac are based off of a dinosaur museum/exhibit in Henderson, NV. etc.
