GGG always have launch problems in the first 2-3 hours of a POE 1 expansion. The last expansion 3.26 had around 500k players on the first day.
They’ve announced that over 1 million people have registered game keys, so that’s double the last expansion launch. I’m hoping that the launch will smooth out after the first 2 hours.
I had queued to log in an hour before launch and the login server already crashed, so yeah.
FWIW Game’s playable right now. Already killed the first 2 bosses :)

GGG said early access lasts 6 months to 1 year. The early access costs $30 to play. When POE2 leaves early access, it will be free to play.
There’s supposed to be a next expansion (3.26) for POE 1 released in March 2025.
