Until we have a better picture of how common life is or isn’t, and how long it typically lasts or doesn’t before being wiped out by cosmic phenomena, any answer to Fermi’s Paradox is just people projecting their vibe onto the question. Star Trek is an optimistic answer, Dark Forest a pessimistic one, etc.
