Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
I get a really annoying crackling issue on my Pixel Buds, it usually pops up when shutting the screen off, when I wake the phone back up the crackling stops.
I’ve got a pair of Pixel Buds A and while I haven’t used them nearly as long as the Pro 2’s recently, they don’t exhibit the issue.
EDIT:
In case anyone comes across this thread, I figured out the cause of my issue. It’s not the Pixel Buds themselves, it appears to be a RAM management issue on the Pixel 9. If I was listening to music or a YT video and switched to something like Firefox, the crackling would start and persist. If I force closed Firefox, the crackling would immediately stop.
Still not sure about the occasional crackling when I close my phone/turn the screen off. Maybe I have some apps open and I don’t realize that they’re the ones causing it.
I had some sound issues with my Pixel Buds Pro that I was convinced was hardware-related, but I managed to solve them by clearing the data on an app which I can’t remember the name of right now. Could it have been the Pixel Buds-app? Maybe?
Not in this case. I have a pair of Pixel Buds A that I’ve been using as well and they don’t exhibit the same issue. I don’t think it’s hardware related, it’s definitely software. Doing a restart usually fixes the issue when it rears its head.
