They should just sell them with gloves, i will never use one without a cut resistant glove again.

I rarely ever use it but in this case I was making gratineed potatoes, if they’re not sliced super thin the texture is fucked up and doing it with the knife takes forever

I think you are right though that if you’re making something that needs the mandoline the correct thing to do is probably to not make that thing. Roasted potatoes would have been fine and my finger would be intact 😞
