The deepseek subreddit is full of seeseepee nonsense. It’s a real shame.
A good amount of them are like, I don’t care and will use the best model. I think between this, the tiktok stuff, and the continuous stream of good news out of China, it’s starting to shatter people’s worldview a bit.
It’s basically the only cope they have since it’s open source, but I suspect most people just don’t care.
now that there’s an open source one I guess I better start learning how to use this thing. I’m worried about dependence (individually) tho. I very foolishly thought I could look into running it locally with an RX580 lol. Not even close.
