Summary

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva warned that Brazil would retaliate if Trump imposes tariffs on Brazilian goods.

Lula urged Trump to “respect” Brazil and emphasized their relationship as sovereign nations.

He also criticized Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris climate accord as a “step back for human civilization.”

Trump’s recent remarks singled out Brazil as harming the U.S. economy, and he has threatened 100% tariffs on BRICS nations.

The U.S. is Brazil’s second-largest trading partner after China.

Don’t they already have insane tariffs on anything not made in Brazil already?

Of all nations to complain, it seems a little hypocritical from Brazil…

It’s all bullshit. “100% tariffs on China!”. Then the unladylike womanchild backed their ass down to 10%. Who do they think the fucking C in brics is? Columbia? You didn’t do it before and won’t do it now. All your funding comes from brics.

Like I wish Trump would. It would make the world a better place. The U.S. would slowly fall out of importance unless it started manufacturing EV vehicles and tech Yesterday.

(Note: charging 100% tariffs on Saudi Arabia doesn’t help your oil prices, hurting South Africa hurts the actual presidents family, Russia has made Trump his lap dog over and over… Who are they threatening? The U.S. would be the only placed harmed by putting 100% tariff on brics. Also, convincing Egypt to take in refugees from Gaza, isn’t as easy to negotiate when you are threatening them)

Tit for tat (or generous tit for tat) is the best strategy to avoid conflicts.

Yes, but a tariff won’t mean anything to the US. Do something different that actually hurts them.
