Then why does it not make any sense? The steel is sparkle clean, there’s black liquid flying, the first is coming from a weird angle, is there a set of lips in the hand but also an upper lip below the nose?

The name of the album is “Fistful of Metal”. It is, assuming this would be possible, depicting someone punching (likely from the back of the neck upwards, explaining the angle) through the opening of the person’s mouth. The black liquid is red, may just be poor image quality, which is blood. The artist is by no means a perfect artist, I’ll give you that. As to why the metal is clean, it is just a silly cliche in old-school metal music to show gleaming steel/chrome etc.

The fist looks like it’s coming through the guys cheek though, drawing is tough but if this wasn’t AI you would think the artist would have thought to themselves ‘Gosh people will be looking at this in 40 years, better have another go before I start adding colour’

Well for starters like I mentioned this was their debut, and it is a very early thrash metal band, so they weren’t very concerned with “quality” back then. Also it is coming through the guy’s cheek, you can see the section of cheek peeling away. I get what you are saying, they weren’t a perfect artist but how the hell could it be AI, especially from the early 80s? The fact we even have “AI” now is debatable.
