A federal judge in Maryland has ordered a second nationwide pause on Trump’s executive order seeking to end birthright citizenship for anyone born in the U.S. to someone in the country illegally.
The judiciary is irrelevant if the Administration is going to plow forwards. See the rescinding of the grants memo last week. As far as I know, payments haven’t restarted, and I’m following at least two programs that were funded via typical USDA appropriations, and one that was funded through the IRA.
It doesn’t matter if it goes to court if the Administration is in continual defiance of the order.
