I’m posting because originally when I was looking to create a Lemmy account I came across Hexbear. I read the code of conduct and TOS and to me it seemed like a great fit for me. However, after creating an account there, it seems pretty defederated.
Anyway I was curious on the happenings over there, because they have some cute custom emojis over there… but if there’s a reason they’re so defederated, I might just pretend i never made an account there
EDIT: omg I just found out this instance has cute blob emojis too :3
That’s a straight up lie, lemmy.blahaj.zone is the trans-inclusive zone
Nobody has forgotten what Nutomic truly believes
Oh man… who is nutomic and how is he related to the Hexbear instance? Because fuck that guy
He’s not related to Hexbear. In fact he’s banned from it.
I just posted it as it’s own comment, but he’s the head Lemmy dev, huge Tankie and lead admin of .ml
.ml is part of the “Tankie Triad” along with hex and I can assure you those “ideals” persist through out, despite what they say.
What’s the message he’s replying to?
It stemmed from a private convo with @beaver@lemmy.ca
If you want to read through the lore you can checkout the pinned post and crossposts on !meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works

Hey, quick question: In what context would these be acceptable things to say about trans people?
Depends what your interpretation of what was said is. If the interpretation is - putting LGBT flags on gov’t buildings is bad - then it isn’t acceptable. If the interpretation is - a description of what the owner class is doing in order to distract, without passing judgment whether those actions in and of themselves - then that would be acceptable (to me) because it’s just an observation of reality. Being charitable, reading the message doesn’t tell me which one it is.
You’re the type of person who would ask for context on the George Floyd video
No I’m not.
Just asking about integration of an extension to help moderate against transphobes

Thank you!
