Interestingly, I as frequent visitor of /r/Vietnam subreddit, once saw a post showing concern about the impact of USAID on HIV in Vietnam. Needless to say, I feel so underestimated. As if my country is some poor backwater economy in the eyes of Westerners.

Predicted by people who pretend USAid is charity.

For the people saying USAID is good. The mafia used to pass out Turkeys at Thanksgiving too, to the people they collected exorbitant interest from and collected protection money from or even killed. Do people not understand the idea of having a front?

Also, many of countries that use USAID would have social safety nets if not outright a complete socialist system (Yes, i am aware those are distinct things) so they are a lot of times filling a void they themselves created. If resources are nationalized, why would countries need charity from the imperialist nations, so the leeches in those nations can cure their guilty conscience?
