I’m Veronica! I love Linux, old computer hardware, and explaining things.
Some folks call me the Linux Mom, and that works for me. I’m a former “legacy systems” sysadmin who’s posting fun content about cool things you can do with Linux, as well as some fun retro tech stuff I come across!
Veronica Explains is great. It’s content like that that makes PeerTube worth switching from Youtube.
Here’s a few more quality PeerTubers I like - although a lot are a bit stale and seem to have abandoned making videos altogether:
The Linux Experiment Channel - thelinuxexperiment_channel@tilvids.com
The New Oil - thenewoil@apertatube.net
The Big Car Channel - bigcar_channel@tilvids.com
Let’s Talk Philosophy Channel - letstalkphilosophy_channel@tilvids.com
The Decentered Podcast - decentered_podcast@spectra.video
Joe - joe_channel@greatview.video
Model Railway Videos - model_railway_videos@diode.zone
Techlore - techlore@neat.tubeCheck out the pinned post in this community for even more!
I stumbled on Veronica Explains on Youtube and holy crap she is so smart. I won’t lie though, I felt like a moron trying to understand some of the things she covered. But it was still great to see her stuff.
My mind was blown, truly. It’s because of her that I ended up going down a tech video rabbit hole and watched all these incredibly skilled people building their own devices (or refurbishing and transforming older ones) from scratch. How?? My tiny brain can’t process it.
