The last thing people who are struggling want to hear is that “inflation is going down. The economy is fine” when they can’t afford their necessities any more.
You have completely forgot that under Trump people couldn’t even pay their rent and groceries. It wasn’t “at the expense of everything else.” It was not even being able to pay rent much less anything else. It went to “I’ll be dead on the streets in a few months under Trump.” to “I can pay for rent and groceries but can’t save anything under Biden so Biden is worse.”
This argument has been enlightening. The fact you are downvoted shows that even on left leaning platform like lemmy, on a politically oriented community, people are still deluded.
