Does it matter? Lemmy fills a niche that other places don’t. It can only go up from here.
Lemmy doesn’t have to be big, just big enough to feel cozy 🙂

Lemmy is about starting your own small content aggregator website.
“Lemmy” is about however you choose to use it. And having everyone using the fediverse does not preclude having cozy communities.
Internet communities once thrived with a few hundred members. The fediverse lets you have that, while also looking over the fence, as it were.

Reddit started to get some of those great niche communities when it hit a few million users back in 2010 or so.
They’re definately here, they might only have a few thousand subscribers, but they’re still great.
