I did like Natsuko coming to the idea that Luke saved her as a fangirl and budding animator, i.e. that she is in debt to him for being her husbando.
I did like that part about portraying modern anime fandom, with the merch, and just going with what we can afford, because there’s always more to spend on: e.g. she gets the much cheaper printed acrylic stand of Luke instead of the expensive figurine, and she also has a Luke plush bag charm.
