They make it sweeter than starbucks for some odd reason. Adjunct stouts can be good but the sweetness needs to be on the low end. We’re drinking a stout, not coffee with pump after pump of Starbucks sugar syrups.

Ah yes, the thick and sickly sweet stout. And then you have the porters that taste like pencil shavings. You know what -just give me a Guinness lol.

I enjoy the MooHoo from Terrapin. Though I haven’t had it in over 5 years.

I’m out of my league here though because I just saw this post on All.

I forget who made it. Red Brick? Another Georgia brewery. They had a Chia Tea Milk Stout that was delicious. I think it was only made rarely though.

Don’t feel out of your league. Anyone with an interest in craft beer is welcome.

I’d like to try that milk tea stout it sounds cool. Right now Foundation brewing in Maine has a great adjunct stout called “let’s do brunch”. It has cinnamon, coffee, maple. It’s not to sweet though which is key.

Thanks. That sounds very similar to one I had in San Diego actually. Don’t think it had maple though. Was from a local brewery there I’d have to lookup to remember. But cinnamon and coffee flavors are a nice combo in a stout. I probably like stouts because I like black coffee so much. Had to aquire a taste for black coffee but I think it transferred to stouts instantaneously.

As someone that almost only ever enjoys coffee black I agree. However, if I’m at a Starbucks and need some caffeine I definitely DO NOT get their coffee and drink it black.

I get their sugar filled crap because their black coffee tastes awful. It’s specifically made extremely bitter with burnt coffee beans. Just so you can get a hint of coffee taste in with the syrups I guess.

I don’t mind their sugar drinks. But I definitely wouldn’t even consider them “coffee”. Same goes for the sweet Stouts most of the time.
