Our entire civilization is only 250 years old. China has the longest continually recorded history on the planet known as Earth. We plan in months to years. They plan in decades to centuries. And that’s why they will win.
Also, every new generation of Chinese leadership builds on those who came before. It’s a constant evolution of ideas and motivations. Deng thought Mao got a lot wrong. Those that followed Deng thought the same of him. Each new generation builds and improves on what came before. An uninterrupted forward march of progress. Mao loved this. Its exactly what he wanted. Xi was in Mao’s circle as a child. A continuation of that legacy.
