I don’t follow the NFL super closely but I’m a HUGE fan of CFB and this kinda shocked me. I don’t understand why literally everyone passed on this guy. Whoever gets him in the second round is basically getting two 1st round pick-caliber players and is gonna be sittin’ pretty.
Eh this draft class wasn’t a strong qb one, Cam Ward was obviously going to the Titans since they need a quarterback bad. But everyone else could afford to wait longer. The Giants trading back up into the first round didn’t shock me, neither did the Jaxson Dart pick as his draft stock was on the rise.
The Giants at pick 3 had a great pass rusher available to take. The Raiders were always going to take Ashton Jeanty unless someone jumped in-front of them for him. The Jets are just disfunctional and think Bustin Fields will finally jump to being average. Saints think either Carr or Rattler will be decent enough to tank with. Colts are still trying to make Richardson work. Steelers are still trying to get Rodgers to sign with them. Only other team who could’ve drafted him is the Browns who would’ve turned him into a bust or the Rams who would’ve sat him behind Stafford

That’s kinda why I thought he’d be picked, cuz he’s the one standout QB in the class. But IDK about the NFL team dynamics, maybe they needed players in other positions more than they needed a new QB.
