Trying not to feed the trolls
We’ve always had woke media. If it’s good, nobody will care at the end of the day.
I’ve found her career fascinating, she’s the only one I’ve seen leave Fox and then go farther to the right. She was center right on the network and now she’s firmly planted on the right. Meanwhile Bill O’Reilly stayed mostly the same and Tucker Carlson is now the same as he was before, just less mask of and outspoken about his genuine positions
The Palestinians, people like Chuck Schumer
The man is Jewish my guy
Learn from it and improve! There’s always time to grow.
The Guardian is a bit different so that doesn’t surprise me lol
Outlets will certainly hit this story from various angles
Opinionated
LOL fair critique though. With the way they write their articles I usually share the article they cite instead of the article they’ve written but in this case it was Bloomberg and paywalled.
None of that refutes anything in the article lol
Good grief, engaging politically with you people is such a mistake
In 2020 NPR got 23% of its funding from the federal government, and in 2023 PBS got 39% of its funding from the federal government.

My point is that having news organizations be held to account publicly for their biases through congressional means only makes sense if their coverage is being paid for by the government.
Hey! Don’t kink shame.
I’m not saying that a one-state solution in Israel wasn’t inevitable, but Trump has handled the Israel-Hamas War pretty poorly, and I say this as someone who a) voted for Trump and b) support Israel’s right to self defense.
Honestly, for the next college football season, this and ESPN Flagship will probably be all I will need more or less. If I ever want Fox News (which I like less and less over time but might still be useful for presidential debates and such), this means I’ll be able to essentially get it a-la-carte. Very nice.
I appreciate that everyone is doing a-la-carte in the year I’m moving out of my parents’ place lol
I don’t think that’s what the article is talking about but okay
I disagree here somewhat. Now, maybe you know more about the background of ICE and how it’s been utilized in the past, admittedly I am not. But from the outside looking in, I can’t imagine a reason why ICE would have gone into reservations looking for Native Americans. If ICE usually isn’t sicced on Native Americans, it would make sense that they don’t have a process for validating the citizenhood of these Americans (although that certainly is quite an oversight).
As far as what documentation ICE looks for, isn’t that the stuff on this list:
https://www.uscis.gov/save/current-user-agencies/commonly-used-immigration-documents
As the article you shared states:
Despite possessing Certificates of Indian Blood (CIBs) and state-issued IDs, several individuals have been detained or questioned by ICE agents who do not recognize these documents as valid proof of citizenship.
I am inclined to agree with the post and what the Navajo Nation Council is asking for:
Navajo Nation Council Speaker Crystalyne Curley emphasized the immediate need for the Executive Branch to issue protocols for tribal members living off-reservation.
What an excellent question. I think most of them view it as a distinction without a difference, they don’t care at all if an migrant is legal or illegal. I think they also are subscribing to the slippery slope fallacy, assuming that those who want to deport illegals also want to have citizens deported from the country.
Yeah. It took me a loooooooong time for me to come up with that phrasing. The rule allows for someone to say something like:
“He should get the death penalty”
“If Ireland is attacked militarily, they should retaliate”
But not things like:
“They should go out and hang him”
“Punch those people when you see them”
How much federal funding do they get?
Well, I think that’s a little bad faith. I think if Hitler rose from the dead and took control of America or the UN or something you’d be distressed as well. This is more the result of buying too many media lies for too long than people just straight up not being able to think.
(I struggle to see how someone who gets all their facts and news from CNN or MSNBC aren’t able to think as well as people who watch Fox News, the information presented almost always lines up with the narratives they are portraying)
