They sold their votes to a con man and are surprised they didn’t get paid?

    Really?

Elon really hoping that he can skate by without legal consequences as long as he just pretends he didn’t actually bribe voters.

Think about it though, he didn’t pay them. He can easily spin a story about how he was ‘caught up in the moment’ and made an offer without thinking, that he was later advised would be illegal.

Idk, I feel like I’ve seen crazier legal turnarounds in my lifetime. Imagine he references the purchase of Twitter as a pattern of behavior making offers that he isn’t actually prepared to fulfill?

Putting aside the fact that musk is an asshole, the value of $100 to him is probably less than what 1 cent is worth to most other people, and I can imagine that if most people owed someone 1c, they would probably never get around to paying it.

It’s a different world for the ultra rich, and even more so for the ultra ultra ultra ultra richest.

That’s because you don’t have a billionaire’s brain. They’re somewhere between “I don’t give a damn about these people” and “LOL! Look how I stiffed these losers!”

Musk meant $100 credit, towards the purchase of a cybertruck. 🫤

    Yeah no shit.

    Paying them would be illegal

    Conning them isn’t.
