Or Melina’s story. Who is she? What is her connection with the Gloam-eyed Queen? How did she know Torrent’s former master? How did she realize her purpose, Marika’s plan, and why does she believe in it so fervently? Why is she burned and bodyless?

I suspect it will actually be something completely different and that the result won’t be worse for it.
