Meta does not indicate to users what their privacy settings are as they post, or where they are even posting to. So, if you log into Meta AI with Instagram, and your Instagram account is public, then so too are your searches.
I stopped doom scrolling on the book of faces years ago, I only have an account to talk to friends over messenger (if I do not have an up to date phone number). I use pihole so the Facebook trackers know poop all about me, other than my friends who are less privacy focused.
I wish I could say that the network effect was a little faster, as I am forced to remain using social networks I do not want to use because the people are not there yet.
