The resulting daytime fatigue, depression and low motivation can lead to accidents, lost productivity and other consequences.         I guess that’s how stuff reads in the US these days? I mostly assumed it was some variation on “there’s nothing new or newsworthy about this but we wanted to talk about it anyway, so we’re reporting on the perception”.

        Also “we don’t have copy editors anymore”. That one may actually have to do with the current US situation.
