Yeah big time, and it’s notable that the drafting of the National Defense Strategy was led by Eldridge Colby, who literally wrote a book on deterring China. I guess seeing the actual Pentagon assessments might’ve sobered him up.
We are the strongest military power in the world, by that we mean we only fight nations with no hope of winning in a fight, and when they end up winning we come up with some lie on how we didn’t loose and go fight a weaker nation until we win.
They withdrew from Afghanistan and then tried their luck against Russia, now they are scaling back from both Europe and Asia and trying their luck in their immediate backyard.
Too scared and weak to fight China, but surely they will be able to successfully point the knife inward
