Looks extremely fucking complicated, but I’m a sicko who forsakes sanity for player choice.
It’s probably going to be a living nightmare trying to even get this game to run in the first place (looks kinda old, plus I’m using Linux) but I’m sure I’ll learn something and jank it in some way or another.
it’s been a couple years since i did the install, but iirc i ran the normal install within a wine prefix, then installed AuroraPatch and run it through that
That’s the game where you have to design not just every ship but every component for them and fund research and development programs to actually turn those specs into usable parts that can be manufactured, right? I think I remember playing that like 15 years ago. IIRC it had an issue where the installer could brick one’s OS because it would try to overwrite some library with a much older version if one didn’t carefully read what it was saying it was going to do and tell it to not do that?
If your game doesnt look like this in the year of our lord 2025. What are you even doing ?
Not going to lie, this legitimately looks like my type of game. What is it called?
Aurora 4x
Aurora 4x

i got it working through wine, it’s a little temperamental but it works
Could you tell me how you got it working?
