    Wow. What a guy, and what a backstory. And then 23yrs of hard work to get his friction heater perfected(!)

    So… looks like his invention was successful and profitable for some years, but eventually stopped being used, being muscled out seemingly by the traditional, building-wide network of steam radiators. (compared to this one which looks like it could function independently in each home/unit)

    Is that the heater that is sometimes considered so efficient there were conspiracy theories that it is more than 100% efficient?

        Heat pumps are more than 100% efficient (if you consider the frame of reference to be the area whose temperature you want to control).

        i remember a early 2000s discovery channel like documentary about how they are over 100% efficient…

        I tried finding it.

        it was just a “cute” perpetual motion machine claim. which was 100% bs
