no. LG admins might remove your comment if you make an actionable threat but that’s about it, even if the VPS this server was hosted on was shut down the admins make regular backups so they would just host it on a different one.

I see that you’re new here.

unless there’s a persecution by right-wingers and liberals

        This is an impossibility.

Lemmygrad is explicitly a Marxist-Leninist instance. Its culture is hostile to right-wing, liberal left-wing, idealistic left, fake left. Liberal voices aren’t valued here.

The only way for it to be persecuted is to be defederated from other instances (e.g. Lemmy.World), but nobody cares. Defederation only blocks the flow of information between instances, it doesn’t take the instance down.

Edit: Actually, another way is DDoS.

I see, but I meant if there’s some kind of external interference, not sure if that’s possible with Lemmy’s federation system. Like threats from corporations n’ stuff. Thanks for the clear-up.

          Edit: Grammar and syntax.

Hmm, the establishment can try to take it down via the hosting providers that Lemmygrad uses. But this scenario usually only happens when the establishment feels extremely threatened. For example: They fear platforms like Lemmygrad would be use to plan a revolution. Then again, who know?! Maybe Trump would be clown enough to give Lemmygrad infamy.
