There’s no automated copyright ID like there is on Youtube, but the drawback is that if you screw up then it can get DMCA’d by the copyright owners. Whether or not the instance admin then respects that DMCA notice is up to them, of course.
I just want to avoid trouble for instance admins. I had a blog where I uploaded tons of videos (some music videos, but also short animations and short movies), some very old stuff that even Facebook and YouTube don’t find copyrights claims, but some they do and allow because they have a deal with the holders, I guess those could get DMCAed
Some instances are more particular about copyright than others, but there’s no machine scanning your videos for copyrighted material, and it’s fully possible to leave the license section blank when you upload a video.
