for those who went, how was it seeing all the libs in your area? I for one get a kick out of seeing everybody’s grandparents think that they are being a major threat to the system.
I think nokings is good, and people should go for it. but thats mainly because its a reason to get out of the house and talk with people who are guarenteed to 1: care about politics in a progressive direction, and 2: live in the area
The turn out was solid around my area. Mt Vernon even got a call out on one of the late night shows. Lots of youth out there protesting for their future and fighting against both a fascist federal regime and the shitty Iowa Republican legislature as well. I was stoked to see both young and old people out there marching together, despite the huge generation gap. It gives me some faith that not all Iowa is lost, but it’s a tough battle giving the fuckery by those in charge.
