Severed Heads reformed on March 13 for one last show at Adelaide Festival and ABC Arts was there to record the moment.
Formed in Sydney in 1979 Severed Heads started their career cutting up tape and arranging soundscapes from loops of shortwave radio. While crossing over into the mainstream wasn’t high on the band’s list of priorities, they are still best known for their hit Dead Eyes Opened. For diehard fans, however, Severed Heads remain one of the most influential groups in the early industrial-electro music scene.

They had a very long career with sonically different eras. Early days were very experimental and influential in the electronic and industrial music scenes.
