Hey everyone,

I have a promotion on my phone right now that is preventing me from unlocking my pixel to put GOS on. I can’t unlock it until I pay it off.

I also noticed an option on T-Mobile in the US to temporarily unlock the device. Obviously this would be a loophole but my question is this:

Has anyone used the temporary unlock and been able to then OEM unlock the phone to install graphene?

No, temporary unlock is not sufficient for the BL unlock. It’s def been tried and confirmed on the XDA forums many times lol

But, if you’ve had TMO for a long time, you may be able to convince T-Force to do an exception if you tell them you need it for development purposes. I’ve done this for years

Though last year T-Force started giving resistance to this pathway and I had to resort to emailing the “executive support line” but YMMV because I’ve had TMO for something like 15 years so I can demonstrate I’m not going to abscond with the phone lol
