    China will do what is in its best interests, just as all other countries do. Almost all countries are selfish, and there are very few instances of altruistic behaviour among countries

      What does altruism even mean when it comes to a country? Isn’t protecting itself in itself a act of altruism since it is a conglomerate of individuals? I suppose you could argue that the smaller nation’s should all submit to the bigger nations since more people benefit from the bigger nations success , but something tells me that doesn’t sit right with you either, wouldn’t it be more selfish for a country to prioritize an individual or group of individuals over the whole? Infact isn’t that just a dictator?
